EC145HB-ZRC is operated by REGA Swiss Air Ambulance. The successor of the BK117, the EC145 has replaced the A109K2 at the lower altitude REGA bases. The approval for the regular use in the alps is in progress. It features a four bladed System Boelkow hingeless rotor, twin engines, redundant system layout, rear loading of the cabin, one level cabinfloor, two person winch and cable cutters.
